Poor Service from Tracker

On Saturday, 25 April 2026, I noticed via the Tracker app that my vehicle was shown as being parked on the N3 near Edenvale, Johannesburg. This was highly concerning, as my car was actually parked at my home, which is a significant distance away from that location. I immediately contacted Tracker to report what I initially believed to be an app malfunction.

During this call, I was shocked to learn that my tracking unit had stopped working as far back as 30 March 2026. At no point was I notified of this failure. This means I had been driving my vehicle for over 25 days without a functioning tracking device, completely unaware and exposed to potential risk.

On 29 April 2026, I visited a Tracker fitment centre in Roodepoort, where the unit was replaced. Unfortunately, the replacement device only worked for a few hours before failing again. The app once again displayed incorrect information, this time indicating that my vehicle was located near the R558, which was entirely inaccurate.

I contacted Tracker again to report this ongoing issue and requested to speak with a senior manager, as the situation has become extremely frustrating and concerning. I was assisted by Khulufelo Sima, who was initially reluctant to escalate my call. After approximately five minutes, I was transferred to an individual identified as Cyle Morton. However, I have serious concerns about the authenticity of this escalation, as it did not appear that I was actually speaking to a manager or supervisor, despite my explicit request. This dude, confused to me that he's not a manger but he was pretending to be one of the managers and he was trying to change his accent to sound European.

This entire experience has left me feeling ignored and deeply dissatisfied with the level of service provided. More importantly, it has raised serious safety concerns. I was previously hijacked and kidnapped on 14 September 2024, and I am acutely aware of how critical a properly functioning tracking device is. Knowing that my vehicle currently has a non-functional unit is extremely distressing.

I request urgent intervention from a senior member of your management team to:

* Investigate why I was not notified when my tracking unit stopped working. * Resolve the ongoing malfunction of my replacement device. * Address the conduct and handling of my case by your customer service staff.

I expect this matter to be treated with the seriousness it deserves and to receive prompt feedback on how it will be resolved.
