Poor service

I write this communiqué with great disappointment and frustration regarding the service I’m receiving from Tracker. I’m their current client, and when I signed with them I was on Sky Trax with a “panic button” in my car. As greed, I would press the panic button when I’m exposed to danger or in the hi-jack situation, and they would immediately call. They even gave me an option to create an identity code that would help to identify myself when they call me. If, for instance, I would give a wrong identity code then that would mean I’m in danger or a possible hi-jack situation. When I press the panic button they would call within minutes. I would also get cellphone notifications if I’m driving in a dangerous area.As far as I’m concerned that was initial agreement.

Then they notified me via email that my tracker is not working, and then they sent a technician to come and fix it at a charge of R500, which I agreed to it. That’s when everything changed because after my tracker was fixed I tested it by pressing the panic button and no one called, when I called the technician he said I should give it some time. But, on several occasions, I kept pressing the panic button with no response from Tracker. I decided to call to them, the lady I spoke to told me “that is not a panic button that is for roadside assistance”. I was so angry and confused because this is not what I signed up for. And I know exactly what I signed up for. Then I asked the lady if that is just a button for roadside assistance then what is your response time, she about 45 minutes, then I told her that pressed this button for several days which is way more than 45 minutes. Even now I’m still pressing to test the button and they are still not calling, even for the roadside assistance they claim.

So I told them that if you feel you have looted enough from me then I want out but they told me I’m still on contract, a contract they are not honouring. Tracker is not of service to me anymore but still deducting their premiums as normal and if I want out I will have to pay the remaining months as per the contract. Maybe this is how they operate, just like an orange chew up all the juices and throws it away. So I’m stuck with Tracker who is not of no service to me, this is a total rip-off. I demand answers from Tracker or I will escalate this even further.
