I had a tracking device installed on my vehicle in January 2020, pre-covid. In June 2021 I had to trade the vehicle for another one. The new vehicle happens to not need a tracking device. So I called Tracker in order to either cancel the contract or move the device to the new vehicle in order to still get the roadside assistance I have ony policy. So, the agent I called said in order to transfer the device or cancel the contract I must pay R700 due to contract binding clause. I mean, companies out there waivered this kind of clauses due to the financial mishaps brought by COVID and the restrictions. Nonetheless, I said it's fine, I'll pay the instalmants up until the R700 has been reached. To my surprise, I have paid almost R1000 to date, plus there was even an increase to my premium. Basically I am paying for something I am not even using. I cannot believe that companies still operate like this in this time and age
