I have been a paying customer for over 5 years to date and recently I needed to fit a new unit because the old one was unresponsive/undetected. On the 27th October 2015 the new unit was installed on my car along with the old one as the technician was not made aware of the old unit and personally I'm not comfortable with two units in my vehicle irrespective of the effect the redundant unit might cause. I called Tracker South Africa on 10th November 2015 to ask for the removal of the redundant unit and I was told by Nozipho (I did not get her surname) that the unit won't have any effect whatsoever in vehicle and if I insist for the removal I will be liable to pay the technician to do so.
I'm failing to understand why I'm supposed to be liable to pay the technician to take out their own unit in my car, the unit might be battery intensive irrespective I do not want it and it should be Tracker's responsibility to ensure that their customer's needs are taken into consideration noting that I have been with them forever. It's unfortunate on my part that I just renewed my contract with them for the next 3 years and this is the thanks I get for being a loyal paying customer.
