Follow-Up Review: Tracker Has Confirmed My Original Concerns — and the Service Has Deteriorated Further
This is a follow-up to my initial review dated 29 September 2025, where I detailed Tracker’s failure to acknowledge or resolve the ongoing “battery disconnect” alerts caused by their device’s inability to correctly interpret my vehicle’s OEM sleep-mode behaviour.
Following that review, I was contacted by Betty (Some Product Support Agent from whom some professionalism should be expected at minimum), who initially presented the matter as if Tracker was genuinely committed to resolving it. She apologised for the delays and stated that she had consulted “various experts and organizations” in order to provide a permanent solution. She further indicated that the issue had already been addressed previously, a claim that contradicts both the facts and the continued malfunction of their system.
An appointment was then arranged, and David, a Senior Quality Assurance Technician, who one would expect to be professional at a minimum, visited me at work on 13 October to inspect the vehicle. What occurred next only reinforced everything I stated in my original review:
After completing the inspection, he left without informing me,
He left my keys with the receptionist,
And from that point onward, he ignored all my WhatsApp messages. Only read but not reap**** - aka blue ticking.
When I attempted to follow up with Betty, she also stopped responding entirely.
At this stage, there is no alternative conclusion: Tracker’s customer service practices are consistently inattentive, dismissive, and structurally unreliable. The pattern has now repeated itself multiple times, engagement followed by silence, promises followed by inaction, and “appointments” that produce no actual resolution.
What is most concerning is that a Tracker employee previously confirmed (on record) that the recurring alerts stem from Tracker’s own outdated hardware, which is not capable of correctly handling the sleep-mode power-management profile of my vehicle. As a result, the device falsely interprets the normal sleep-mode voltage behaviour as a “battery disconnect” event, generating incorrect warnings, unnecessary escalations, and misleading app notifications.
In other words: Tracker is fully aware that their installed equipment is not compatible with certain modern vehicle electronics and yet they continue to install it, charge customers for it, and refuse to resolve the resulting faults.
Since September, nothing has changed except the growing evidence validating my initial concerns. Tracker’s failure to:
Communicate,
Provide accurate technical information,
Deliver the “permanent solution” they promised, and
Acknowledge the confirmed device compatibility issue
raises serious questions about the reliability of their systems and their commitment to customer safety and accountability.
Until Tracker replaces the incompatible hardware, provides a clear technical remedy, and stops ignoring customers once the installation is complete, I cannot recommend their services to anyone.
Tracker urgently needs to modernise its technology, correct its processes, and start treating customers with transparency and respect — not silence. Even better, let customers cancel their service without enfrocing an early cancellation penalty because it is not the fault of the customer here!
