Disgusted with Tracker direct marketing.

My girlfriend was phoned by Tracker direct marketing. The lady told her about a promotion for a tracker unit. She unfortunately accepted. The lady asked for more contacts of friends.
The lady then phoned me. I am disgusted with the manner she conducted the call and tried to overwhelm you with the deal. She hardly gave me a moment to get a word in, and then asks if I had a secure area for them to do the installation. Being more savvy, I asked the right questions. I said no, and she continued trying to convince me. I asked my girlfriend if she knew that this was a 36 month contract. She said no. She then wanted to cancel, but was told that she had to pay a cancellation charge of R300.I was outraged that a company can just call you, push you over with their marketing scheme, and then wanting to charge you if you realized you made a mistake.
This is against the consumer protection act not stating that this is a fixed term contract. The act stipulates that there is a 5 day cool off period, and they CANNOT charge any fees.
This is now cancelled. For anyone in this situation, hopefully they will read my post, and realize that you are protected by the act against such disgusting companies.
