Co. should be called "TRACKER NOT-BOTHERED-TO CONNECT"

I see from the many many poor reviews that my experience with this company is not unique. Insurance Co. insisted I get a tracker installed on the bakkie and it all went to sh_*_t from there. On one occasion their system created a FALSE alert and my contact people were scrambling all over JHB trying to find me and contact me. When I became aware of this it took me about 30 mins to speak to the right person to stop this false alert. I had at least 3 tracker employees on the phone WHO COULD NOT HELP ME as "I had to call the proper emergency Nº" FFS. No one was answering the phone on the emergency Nº!

In a few other instances I get an sms & email saying my key fob and unit in bakkie are not responding, and would I please return email with answers to "healthcheck" questions;

- If your vehicle has been parked for the past 72 hours, or it is at a workshop and has not been in use for the past 72 hours please reply, ‘All in order‘ - Kindly check for movement by logging into the Tracker App when the vehicle is back on the road.

and a series of other questions about getting a technician to visit and check unit. Their email address seems not to exist! "Undeliverable: Tracker: Device Health Check Notification:", "The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

'Undisclosed recipients:' on 2024/03/27 08:39 PM Invalid recipient"

With this complete *****-up of service, they just called me to offer me extended services??????? Yeah right?!?!

12-04-2024 update - it's been 4 days now and no response from this crowd. On the 10th April I received another emails described above, and by then I was using the bakkie again (ie. the vehicle and key ring fob have been reunited). Their system seems broken in its entirety! Email address doesn't work, units fitted to vehicles don't work, and seemingly tracker employees don't work (but surely still collect salaries and benefits). What a shambles this Co is?!?! I have come to the conclusion that despite paying good money for their "security services", being forced to do so by my insurer, I AM ON MY OWN in the event that I actually need to call for assistance.

22-04-2024 update - it's been 2 weeks now and still no word from tracker. It is not their "intent to help you reach a prompt resolution of this matter"! I've just checked the newest complaints on hellopeter, many many more and they're all say the same things. Faulty units, poor or no response from tracker. I will now take this up with my insurance company (outsurance) and have them de-listed as a reliable vehicle tracking company for insurance purposes. I keep getting notification emails of faulty signals in my bakkie, to which I cannot reply as their address is "undisclosed/invalid". We need to boycott this useless company and insist our insurance companies no longer use them!!!
