********* Business Practices

I purchased a vehicle from a dealership. The dealership had advised me that there is a tracking unit in the car. Yesterday 06/05/2024 I called Tracker, they had advised me that I needed to do a change of ownership and then reactivate the Tracker. I did so and yesterday at around 15h12 however the unit was activated but was not working, see attached mail thread. At 18h00 I requested a cancellation of the service. It has not even been 12hours and now I am told I have to pay for 36months. I understand you are losing clients and need to make up for the money but this is not the way to go.

This is not acceptable, as I did not choose the device, the car dealership chose Tracker. I requested a cancellation 2 hours after the defective unit was reset. As a consumer, I cannot be forced into a contract which I cancelled 2 hours later.

Yes, you called to tell me that I still need to pay for a service I did not even use. You said that whether it was 10 min or 3 hours in my case I have to pay. Every consumer has a right to a cooling off period, but not with your company. There was no extra effort where you can claim that you sent a technician out to install the unit as the unit has been in the car for a very long while before I bought the car.
