Appalling Service- Tracker Connect

Appalling Service - Call centre and Technical support.

I logged a service related call on January 22nd for a faulty tracking device on my vehicle due to a continuous battery drainage issue, as ascertained by my Auto Electrician. At 630pm on January 25th I received a call from the Tracker technician requesting to call out the next day. Due to unavailability I postponed till Monday Jan 29th. This was postponed at 645am on Monday, to 8am on Tuesday due to unavailability of the technician on Monday.

As agreed, the Technician called out on Tuesday. Due to no communication from the technician I called the technician at 10am requesting an update and was informed that the vehicle battery drainage issue was due to the Netstar device previously installed, and that he disconnected the netstar device. Due to this being a non Tracker Connect related issue, I was informed that I will be charged for the call out, which I accepted.

The next morning the battery was dead yet again. After contacting the technician telephonically, I was advised to log another call at the call centre.

4 calls (spanning 30 minutes at a time) later, and on the fourth call being left on hold in excess of 20 minutes, Tracker refuses to accept responsibility to replace their faulty device.

Firstly, the Technician mentioning that the removal of faulty netstar device was later refuted by the Technical support consultant who stated that the third party device was not removed. As per the job card, (excuses listed) 1. Disconnected - consultant Zandile 2. Not disconnected, but still connected and Netstar must be contacted for this to be disconnected- Technical Support Supervisor.

Thereafter I received confirmation from Netstar that the unit in the vehicle is a Netstar Nano device and works independently from the battery in the vehicle. The Nano unit has its own power supply. This unit is NOT connected to the battery in the vehicle.

Please consider other vehicle tracking companies before considering tracker.
