50A blown fuse, no report, no answer, want extra money !!!

to whom it may be of concern.

i have not had the experience of joy of recovering a vehicle from being ******, but i have had the nightmare to have a second installation on a fairily expensive vehicle S5, whereby the technician just crossed the cables together and blew a 50A fuse. despite the fact that he comes back lying and saying it was like that, when the "installation" was done, the car was neither starting nor anything else. we have asked the "installer" to please get a new fuse, despite our arguments and requests, the man wanted to bridge the fuse with a simple cable to "see" if the car will finaly start.

i am sorry to say this way but for an Audi S5 to come across the idea to cross cables and see if the car is starting, is a bit of a bad african joke. however. the technician finaly drives to get the fuse and comes back after an hour. the fuse was installed, car is starting but.. .the dashboard is full of ... lots of lights !!!

i have taken the vehicle immediately afterwards to Audi Menlyn to check the rest of the problems. in our luck, only two more fuses were blown and the ecu had to be reseted to get the car... functioning properly !!!

this was a very bad experience. we have expected though to have some sort of communication or atleast a simple sorry letter... nothing.

on monday coming week, we have noticed that the actual installation is not visual neither on their system (tracker) nor on the app... we have called and spend nearly 2 hours on the phone for the operator to finaly pick up.

discussion with management went south and Madelain, which is supposed to be the manager didnt... do much. today is the day after and the actual report or investiagtion or anything.. didnt happen either, or according to her answers, not yet. to add more "juice to this", they already booked the money... this is absolutely insane.

i called 4 times today tracker and 4 times a new excuse came out. 1. madelaine is in a meeting. 2. madelaine is going to call back 3. madelaine is on leave 4. madelaine is finaly available.

4 calls and 4 different asnwers. from the previous installation which happened on a a3 and the good expereince i have had, this turned into a nightmare.

this is very sad when you think you will go and buy a car (regardless of new or old and you spend your money on soemthing you want to enjoy) and some random guy will blow the fuses out of it and then you still have to bring it back to the dealership and ask for support. everyone knows. electrical doesnt come easy and electrical doesnt come cheap. any shop you go and buy something electrical for your vehicle, by the time you bring it back will not be eithere refunded or anything.

so much about a R200 Monthly installment for a tracking device that will help you in case of theft or else... you will bust a whole car.

i have a few vehicles in my collection and i can say this much. whoever comes to do installation, do make sure you next to them.

1. i have had broken plastic parts in the dashboard 2. i have had broken dashboard hangers 3. we have had broken fuses and lights 4. we have had unresponding wipers 5. we have had isses with draining battery

everyone says you shall not see what they do, if you love your car. do make sure you watch exactly what happens and where, hence the stuff that breaks, they will know about, you will only see it later and most likely youll fix it yourself.

the biggest joke today... after all incident and wanting to have the whole tracker nonsense removed, the guy on the phone says... we have a cotract and by force i will either stuck with them or pay more money !!! what a ****** bad joke.

i have had some other experience with matrix too... but regardles of what issues i have had with matrix, i am still safer and had much much better support and service from matrix rather than tracker.

it was a bad choice to choose tracker. everyone shall think for himself.

after numerous calls, i had to "ask" and beg the manager for something in written. she promised to do so. i doubt ill ever see something either written or anything.

one thing is for sure. tracker, wont touch any of my cars now or ever in the future.
