I ordered an item as a Black Friday special - a Stihl portable chainsaw. The ad promised delivery between 12 and 24 hours. After constant dialogue with their online chat option, wherein there was stalling, misinformation and the person on the other side would simply ignore you for as long as an hour. Finally the product arrived at the GPO today.(44 days after buying the item) When I opened the package there was a tiny Chinese no brand name drill attachment probably worth R50. A Stihl portable chainsaw retails at R3800 so the special at R599 was a very good deal. I immediately contacted them on the chat option and told them it was not what I ordered and requested the correct item as advertised or a refund. Their response was “no can do” - “we are satisfied that our obligations have been met”

I noticed that the same offer was online by several other companies - no doubt all under the umbrella of Tracestick.

The public should be warned. Their modus operandi is to offer an excellent product at a low price then supply a vastly inferior product and also refuse returns or refunds.

I have all the conversations copied as well as the actual product unboxed they sent which is simply a cheap drill attachment.
