Tp-link AV500 WiFi extender

Whilst I give 1 star rating for Tp-link, I would like to give a 5 star rating for a Mr S Edward based in Midrand. I have RECURRING problems with the AV500 range extender. It constantly amongst other connective issues, forgets the ip address and frequently requires my emailing customer support for assistance. I have to get poor Mr Edward to team view to rectify my problem. Without any power failure or my tampering with the wifi extender it just stops working. Surely it must 've DEFECTIVE as so many customer calls to the support team has to be unnecessary??? Could my unit be faulty and need replacing? It has been problematic since the beginning and is now out of a 1yr warranty by a couple of months (not even sure if it has 1 yr warranty) Mr Edward cannot make decisions regarding replacing the kit...but someone should be able to do something? Please help
