Utterly disgusted - Canal Walk Toys R Us

I feel utterly disgusted in Toys r Us Canal Walk. We purchased 1x bag of 100 pit ***** on 8 August 2020, which was on clearance sale for R119.99. Obviously this price is good so my wife and I double checked it just to be sure. And yes it was listed as the price mentioned on a red price tag on the shelf.

We normally check the till slips, but on this day we didn’t (murphy’s law). The following day something told me to check the till slip, and what do you know…….It was priced at the normal price of R219.90. Now because we live in Langebaan it is just not possible to drive through for that.

Today, 17 August 2020, I am in Cape Town and brought along the barcode of the product and the slip (the ***** are already in use by our Daughter, otherwise I would have returned it instantly). As Murphy has it, no other pit ***** were left on the shelf therefore couldn’t check the pricing again. I went to the tills in front and explained the scenario. After explaining it endlessly, finally the manager (Monique Slabb) came forward. As one can imagine, by this time one would be worked up. I AGAIN explained the scenario, and then she had the nerve of telling me that what proof do we have and that this item was last on sale in March……Like really????She basically in 3rd person told me that we are lying. And don’t ever tell me I am lying!!! I called my wife to have her explain the issue before I lose my temper. Same scenario came out.

Basically what I am trying to say is please check your slips people!! How many others did they fool….R10 is fine, but R100!!!! In a time where everyone is suffering, this is utterly disgusting!!
