Toys R Us Bloemfontein might as well close down

This 'experience' and rating is related to Toys R Us Bloemfontein, though I can't really blame them. Why is it that this branch of Toys R Us very rarely have new stock, i.e. Barbie dolls? I'm a collector, so visit frequently (more than 3x per month) looking and waiting for new stock to arrive. Items that are advertised online are very seldom (if at all!) in stock, and when one inquire about when stock will be available, the staff (and managers) just shrugs their shoulders and informs us that they have no control over stock arriving, even though they do put in requests for specific stock. Is it so much to ask to have sufficient stock available for items that are advertised? Today I went there again - on your website the Barbie Game Hero range is advertised at very competitive prices, but since it is just easier to go into the store and buy it there, I decided to do that. Now, you might try to tell me that it is 'old' stock, but since these are 2017 dolls, that reply won't have any merit. The only dolls available are Barbie Video Game Hero Light Up rollerblade doll (SKU ********** ) and the Video Game Hero Co-Lead doll (SKU ********** ), at the advertised prices. When I asked the manager about this he (a) had no clue about the dolls being marked down (b) had no clue about the Barbie dolls I was referring to and (c) didn't seem very interested in trying to obtain the dolls I'm looking for ("You can order them online.") Whilst I have no problem ordering online or paying for the more than affordable postage costs, my problem with online is that I have no control over which Video Game Hero Junior Assorted Dolls (SKU ********** ) I'll receive and that I have on two previous occasions bought (Barbie) items online, paid for it, and was then informed that the items was 'out of stock' - this of course is a subject on its own (you can't sell a Barbie doll to a customer, let them pay for it, 3 days later inform them that it isn't available and offer a STEFFI doll in its place - good gracious!?) I left the store with the two main dolls that were available, but if the rest of the set had been available today, I'd have bought two complete sets - one for my own collection, and one for my 6-year old niece, as this would be an amazing Christmas gift. While speaking to the manager, I was also informed that HQ looks at how popular the Barbie dolls are wrt selling, and since it isn't 'popular', more dolls won't be provided, but that the Lego's was selling well, and that was the reason that there were so many (new) stock available. (I couldn't help but think that the manager might have a son/daughter how loves Lego, hence the availability and eagerness of the store to stock it.) It was also mentioned that Bloemfontein Toys R Us was a 'B' store, meaning that stock is already limited since Bloem's Toys R Us is much smaller and didn't need that much stock. Now my question is this... How can Toys R Us look at selling statistics regarding especially something like Barbie, when they rarely send new stock? People will rather buy from other stores where there's a bigger variety. Sorry guys, you are failing your Bloemfontein Branch and its personnel miserably! I am now more inclined than ever to rather support Toyzone, where I can find a vast variety of Barbie dolls, including Collector edition Barbie and the latest Barbie range dolls. It is certainly saying something when Game Stores are stocking newer dolls than Toys R Us. While it can certainly be said that the Toys R Us Bfn personnel are friendly, they can't be of much help due to the fact that they are mostly new personnel, they cannot provide stock or for that matter, answers, regarding questions raised by customers OR about specific items. You can certainly be VERY glad that you still have Emmerentia, one of the only 'old' personnel members, who still assists where she can. I have written a letter/email to your Customer Care section, but it seems as though Toys R Us only responds to Hello Peter messages. Very, very disappointing indeed.
