Toy Not working
I went to buy presents for my 2 year old daughter for her birthday on the17th of October. Her birthday was the 19th. I bought a panda bear for R1199.00. When we gave it to her on the 19th it did not work.
My daughter was so excited when she got the panda, but started crying because she couldn't play with it. I had to drive all the way back to toys r us. When i discussed it with the manager she said the batteries was flat. On the box it stated it came with batteries. She informed me i must buy new batteries. I refused to buy batteries because it is a R1199 present. It was not a R50 present. It stated it comes with batteries. I expected Toys R Us to give me batteries but they said unfortunately they cant give me batteries. I Really think it is ridiculous. Then i requested them to refund me because it is my consumer right to get a refund. But they didn't want to refund me. I mean over R30 batteries. I am Sure Toys R Us makes enough money to give me R30 batteries. But they refused. Then the manager said she will pay the batteries out of her pocket. I don't agree with that. It is Toys R Us responsibility to give me batteries. if it was a R50 or R100 gift i wont mind buying the batteries but i already have spend R2400 on Saturday on presents.
I am very disappointed and will definitely not spend my money again at Toys R Us. Will go to Toyzone instead.
