Refusal for refund on faulty breast pump set and baby bottles

I bought a breast pump kit for my wife first week of December,only to my disappointment the breast pump doesn’t work on the first day of using the product.

The staff and manager never explained or assisted during the purchase , however when I came to ask for a refund t they blatantly refused .

I was shocked because they said to me it’s against their policy to offer refunds on such purchases because the policy is on the receipt. They have bad service and undermine customers. The manager refused with a smirk on his face.

They also refused me to exchange for other products
