Money lost

I bought a baby car seat, 4 tommy tippe bottles and diaper bags with a value of R1740 at toys r us/baby r us in kimberley at north cape mall, I gave the cashier R1750 and as I gave it to him i was busy putting the car seat in the trolley and as I looked back waiting for my change the cashier said I only gave him R1150. I asked them to call the police and waited an hour for the police, the employees and manager told me they will not wait for the police and said they will lock us in the store till the next morning because they have a live. I had an 6month old baby with me. They made me pay again R600, so at the end I had to pay R2340 for stuff that acctually cost R1740. I always bought stuff by baby r us but if this is how they treat their customers this will certainly be my last time.
