Incorrect price, dishonest attitude

My partner and I usually do our baby shopping at Toys R Us/Babies R Us Clearwater Mall, but yesterday was probably the last time we did.

We were shopping for our baby girl's birthday gift, and after searching and searching we finally find something we like, Mega Bloks (Fisher Price), on a promotion "Was R399, Now R299". When we get to the till the cashier says it's R399 and I'm like "No but the price tag said it's on sale and is now going for R299".

We go with her to show her the price tag, and to our surprise the promo price tag is not there anymore. I explain that someone who probably works there must have removed it and she says "there's no one else who works in the store at the floor currently, they're all cashing up". We explain there is someone who works there who was very close to the aisle we picked the item from, she calls him (Kabelo) and asks if he's removed the promo price tag and he says he hasn't. The cashier calls some lady who I think is the manager who asks Kabelo again if he's removed the promo price tag and he again says he hasn't (And he was the only person we saw who works at that store who was currently on the floor, and who was also very close to where we picked the item).

Lol now we're being treated like ***** and crazies and I insist that the price tag was there. "maybe you thought you saw R299". Bathong, I know what I saw (And my partner also explains to the manager that he also saw the price tag) and I do not appreciate that we're being treated like we don't want to pay the full price and are trying to **** our way out of it.

I am honestly not mad at all that the sale might have ended or whatever, but by the fact that they were treating us like we're crazy! I do not for a second appreciate being treated like that and for that experience me and my whole family will NEVER set foot in that shop. Stinking, dishonest attitude from the employees there.
