Gift Exchange Policy

What an experience I went to exchange gifts that I received in The Glen store and I was told that they have a new policy that no receipt no gift receipt no exchange or store credit. I'm disgusted by the service I was given the so called assistant manager by the name of Gladys she refused made noise and her response were also rude I asked her to give me her details and she refused who does that. and yet said I should call her head office she was so rude and and the cashier was laughing at me.

1. Is it my fault that the toys r us staff are *********** because people who bought me gifts where never given or offered gift receipt and I'm sure I'm not the only customer that has unwanted gift at home. Is there any gift receipt signage by the door, till area,website or any where in store that warns customers before spending their money? That should they lose their receipts,no gift receipt or lose it they won't be assisted? This information should made visible so we all know as customers before we spend our money. I definitely didn't any signage in that store,and how can they not even exchange or give store credit, on their own brand or products? regardless of the receipt, where else can you purchase their products accept their stores.There is no after service in this company what matters is the day you make a purchase.I'm beyond annoyed and disappointed, I was informed by Gladys that I should call head office for authorisation my question is, are all customers suppose to call head office for exchanges where is that policy written?The toys r us staff are clueless the same assistant manager said to me the return policy is 30 day while on the website its 60 days now how do you blame a customer I still say the staff are *********** and at the end of the day its the customers problem that the staff doesn't know or share necessary information with customers.

2. Most retail stores ensures that customers all customers are assisted as long its their brands and products,I'm startled with Toys r Us service.
