Dissatisfied disappointed

Went to make a few gift purchases before Xmas. Bought a Nintendo game which was marked down. I paid and did not take note that I was charged the full amount. After a week or so I was looking for an unrelated receipt and looked at this one noticing that I was charged the full amount. I made contact with the company via Facebook messenger and I was told the item was never on sale at that period. I mentioned that I was looking specifically for the game and went price checking at different stores before buying hence if footage of me in the store was viewed you will see me at that shelve twice. Once to get a price and second time to buy. And that washer confirmation that it was on the shelve at a discounted price. Long story short they made me our to be a ****. I went to the store and took pictures of the game and on it one can see that they recently removed the red price sticker indicating it was on sale. They then asked me to come get the money they over charged. My issue is firstly I was made out to be a ****. Secondly I spend money in this store every year be it birthdays or Xmas. 3rdly I wasted petrol time and money to drive to the store to evidence my case. Just for them to say come get the over charged money back
