Toyota - “Lets go nowhere!”
I have been waiting for 9 days for an actual indication when I could get my new (Urban Cruiser) car. I walked in on 29th of March 2021, was told that Barloworld Toyota Centurion had stock of the vehicle in my color, did the application and was approved. When I returned on 1 April, my sales consultant forgot? that I was coming in (after confirming that morning) to get my current vehicle valued for trade. Eventually, I got to meet with Wendy (who is a superstar) I was told that I would most probably get my car on 6 or 7 April. Only to find out that there is no stock, then convinced to reluctantly change the color, only to be told again sorry we don't have stock. I leave messages and phone the sales consultant, who insists on calling me Thembi, nothing! No clear indication of when there will be stock. Leave a message on their FB, get promised that someone will get back to me ... 24 hours later ... I am still waiting. SO it begs the question is internal systems failing the sales staff or are the lack of service failing Toyota. Do they actually want to do business? Stupid me then phones Mccarthy Toyota Centurion, earlier this week, again the first thing I ask do you have stock? Assured they have the vehicle in my colour, again get approved only to find out that there is no stock. Can you start to see the pattern? At least they call and email back and call me by my name. So it seems in my case, clients, like me gets **** to, to secure a credit app and build a waiting list for this car of which allegedly only six hundred were brought into the country? And another thing that boggles my mind, approved by two Toyota branches, exactly the same terms and interest rate, with a R400 difference in monthly repayment? Trying to get the approval to compare - fruitless. It will be the first Toyota that I will own - hopefully eventually, coming from a history of Ford and Volkswagen, and I am already starting to question my decision. #whatclientservice #toyotafail #brandbullies #idontwantorangeorblue #kindregardsthembiornot Toyota SA
