Unprofessional and unfair services

I have reported water leak at the apartment that I am renting at Ravens Rock, Witfield, Boksburg, unit 76 on the 13 December 2016. I have informed the rental agent that the is water leaking from a basin it is urgent and seriously because every day I have to dry the apartment from water leaks that follows from the bathroom to all over the apartment. I mentioned and stated it clearly on my report that the situation is seriously from the 13 December 2016 and also do follow up on the matter because the water was damaging the basin cupboard and carpets in the apartment but until today the repairs has not been done. When I did the follow up this morning with the agents to inform them how bad is the situation since I was away for holidays they have told me that if I want them to fix the problem urgently I have to pay them or if I don't want to pay I have to wait for them. During the time that I was not around the water has damage the basin cupboard and follows all over the apartment, and wet the apartment carpets very badly. I don't know what to do now because if I explained the situation to the agent they threatened me about fixing fee that I have to pay if I want them to attend to the problem urgently. I was also told that the was no way they were going to help me because contractors were on festive season therefore I was supposed to wait no matter how urgent was the situation and rental amount its a must for me to pay no matter how according to clause 7.2 of the lease contract. Some of my stuff in the bathroom are damaged like tissue papers , bath soaps and other accessories. In the two bedrooms it is wet and smelling bad. Regards Russel Mbowana

Thank you for contacting us.

Your unit was inspected in December and no leak was discovered at this time. A quote was prepared to replace / repair the vanity. When the contractor returned to repair / replace the vanity, a leak was found and repaired. The contractor explained that the bathroom vanity can only be replaced in a few days, allowing sufficient time to ensure that the leak has indeed stopped before replacing the vanity.

With regards to the damp carpets, reported on 5 January 2017: the cause needs to be investigated to confirm if this resulted from the leak in the flexi pipe, or if there is possibly another cause. Once the cause can be verified, a decision can be made with regards to the best option moving forward.

We request that you make an appointment for access to your unit as soon as possible, to speed up the quoting and repairing process. We assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process.

Your response it unfortunate because it lacks logical information and it shows clearly that who ever was responding or giving information was trying by all means to cover the horrible service that you are giving or providing to your clients including myself. To prove that this response is just a cover up response there is no dates , times and specifications on the process that was followed at all.

I would like to know when the incident was reported to angor? When was the inspection done and by who? When was the second inspection done and by who? Why I was not informed that there is no leak when the first inspection was done because I reported the leak and inform angor that the situation is urgently? Can you please inform me when was I informed or when was a communication to was done ever since I reported the matter to angor? How many days from the day I reported the matter until today and why did it takes this long?

If all of the above questions can be answered I think we can start to engaged based on fact no stories or imaginations. As I have explained on my initial email to hellopeter is that I report leaking water that needed urgent attention or it was an emergency situation but there was no response until I myself follow up after days and someone was sent to inspect but only photos were taken and since on that day nothing was communicated to me or nothing was done until yesterday (05 January 2017) when I sent an email to follow up on the matter and there was no response until I pick up my phone and phone to find out what is going on since I have reported an urgent or emergency matter or problem nothing is being done. I have a proof of all the emails that I have sent with full information that the problem or matter is urgent and seriously.

The unfortunate part is that you don't have fact but just stories that doesn't have logic or make sense based on issue at hand. I hope you can try to investigate properly and get fact no stories that you are explaining because first the matter or problem was urgent and how long until today that the issue is not resolved, secondly who communicated or inform me that the was no leak so I can show them where the leak is like I did yesterday, thirdly how come was the repairer came yesterday and put new pipes after so long? Please try to be honest with yourself and get fact no to respond for the sake of responding without fact or understanding of what happened.

If I didn't spend hours yesterday on the phone and emails nothing was going to have taken place that's a fact because I have suffered a long time with this water leak and even if I tried to communicate with you, you failed me big time.

It is better because I am picking it up that you are not professional but just need money from your clients and that all that matters to you as I was told yesterday that if I need the problem to be solved urgent I have to pay money myself therefore the process will be speedy up unless I have to wait until contractors open of which I refuse and from hear I have to take this matter to ombudsman where facts can be put in place and I can able to have a fair chance and treatment.
