months after moving we still dont have our deposit from erica she kept telling us that she will call us back sometimes wouldnt pick and we still never got a call.we then called angor and spoke to a lady who said she would contact erica and get back to us and three days after calling them with no response we decided to call erica the agent didnt apologise nor say anything and just said we must send her our email of which we did.we finally got the email and it charged us a hefty amount on maintainance on things that were already messed up when we moved in,e.g the carpets were still wet and smelled from being washed when we moved in and had large wet dry stains even gave my new born throat phlem we had to sleep in the other bedroom to avoid the foul carpet smell she knew about it,the house had moths in the lounge the main door had a meter behind which made it impossible to move our things inside and scratched the door we payed R4500 on deposit and she told us maintainance cost R3900 for carpet, paint and locks that were fine when we moved we called her to come do a walk thru upon us moving but she didnt pick our calls.no pictures of these still no refund nothing!story after stories

(Supplier name changed from Angor Property Specialists - Contractors to Townhouse Warehouse by Hellopeter.com)

Thank you for raising your concern on Hello Peter. After due investigation we can report that you are legally not entitled to a refund on your deposit. In actual fact, there is an outstanding balance due from you which has had to be written off. Firstly, you were in breach of contract as you gave late notice to vacate the unit a month earlier than the expiry date of your contract. Your lease term was 6 months and you left after only 5 months. You also gave your notice late and did not pay rent for your final month, so were charged the legal penalty off your deposit of 12 days rental in March. In addition, a full quotation for maintenance necessary was supp**** and you were given a deadline to respond to the quotation. You did not respond or query the quotation and as a result, the work was completed as per the quote and the cost was deducted from your deposit. Please remember in future that your lease agreement is a legal document and by your signature, you agree to all the terms contained therein.
