Not getting assistance from Towergroup
In September 2018 I received three month employment contract through Towergroup (Sep to Dec),unfortunately found out I was 27 weeks pregnant, contract was to end 05 Dec,due date for birth was 21 Dec.Unfortunately my twins came before time and had an emergency C section on 11 November. The next day I immediately informed my consultant who then advised me to rather resign as she discussed the matter with her manager ,I begged saying I am prepared to stay home for two weeks and resume work. She told me since my contract was to end in three weeks there's really no point.I then wrote the letter detailing what happened .I went to labour department to claim for maternity UIF,which I qualified for two months.Once that was finished I tried applying for normal UIF which labour rejected as they say my UI19 code says resignation and not contract ended.I explained my situation, bringing them proof such as first doctors report detailing everything including due date, admission and discharge report ,employment contract. The labour department said I must then request a letter from the agency stating that I went to early labour and had to stop working.I then contacted the agency and explained everything.I was dismissed by the consultant and therefore I am not receiving anything ,I am literally financially struggling to take care of my twins who are now five months old ,I knock on my neighbours doors to ask money for formula ,nappies etc.I am not getting lucky on the job front also. Please help?
