Aran International Removals - TERRIBLE SERVICE & lying to clients.

The story of how they treated me during an already very stressful move is far too long to set out here. To keep it brief, they exerted unfair bargaining pressure on me on the day of the move. Upon arrival at the location (which I was unable to be at due to having already moved to another province and living in an AirBNB awaiting the full relocation), they claimed that I had more stuff than they anticipated, despite having completed a full inventory and after having shown them everything via a video call. They said I MUST post a positive review on Hello Peter otherwise I would have to pay an additional R6k (all telephonically). Mind you, they had already loaded all my items on their moving truck and threatened to keep it unless I paid the amount, or after having posted a positive review on Hello Peter and receiving a discount. When they arrived in the Western Cape, they got lost, accused me (despite clear written evidence proving the contrary) of providing them with the incorrect address. They called me at 6am the next day when they were supposed to arrive stating that I better be at the place ... or else. I made plans urgently to be at the my new apartment - they ended up coming late in the evening. I wasted a whole day waiting for them. Once again, there were issues where they blatantly **** and said I must pay an additional amount on top of the additional amount from earlier. According to them, the security guard at the complex did not allow them to park close enough to carry my things into my apartment. The reason I know that this is a blatant lie because we do not have a security guard at the complex!! I did explain to Hello Peter that I was forced into making this initial post and nothing was done. So, let's see... I complained to the CGSO. Here is their response AFTER MONTHS of trying to get hold of Aran International: "I hereby conclude that there is no reasonable probability of the parties named above resolving their dispute through the process provided for by this office. Accordingly, I terminate the process by this notice to the parties. Reason that matter was not resolved: Due to no co-operation by the supplier" I escalated the matter to the National Consumer Commission - no feedback due to no cooperation. I am going to continue to fight, but let this be a warning to others please.
