Toucan Travel-Rubish-Time wasting- ****

<p style="color: #555555;"> My wife and I were approached in camps bay. Scratched one of these scratch cards. My wife won a free holiday of which one of the destinations were Canary islands, Málaga Spain, Thailand or Mauritius.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">The condition was that we sit through an arduous 60 minute presentation. I eventually joined.</p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">After reading all the terms and conditions I emailed a copy of the firm with the proof of payment for the registration.</p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">In December 2016 I emailed them regarding the holiday as I would like to go during April.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">They could not find my registration and proof of payment which I emailed to them once again.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">I requested for canairy Island. After waiting 2 weeks for a response after resending the email I got a response that they are not booking in canairy Islands anymore. So I email them regarding Málaga Spain. I don't get a response again for 2 weeks unless I resend the email. </p> <p style="color: #555555;">So Málaga was fully booked. Only availability is Mauritius and Thailand.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">I ask for destinations and hotel in Thailand, they say I first have to give them the dates.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">So I give the dates once again and they send some ridiculous amount for flights of which it would cost cheaper if I booked it myself with no free holiday.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">Once again as I did before from the begining, I informed them that I live overseas and I work for an airline so I will be paying my own tickets.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">They informed me before, that all I have to do is pay a surcharge.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">Now they inform me that I have to fly to South Africa first before flying to Thailand as they need to show proof to the bank.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">What has the bank got to do with where I fly from?</p> <p style="color: #555555;">It would cost much more to fly via South Africa even working for and airline than if I just paid in full.</p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">My point is that why can't they be transparent from the beginning. I wouldn't have been wasting my time.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">I have been emailing since December just to get a booking. It's now March and still no booking. </p> <p style="color: #555555;">I ask 3 questions, one or two gets answered.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">Each email I have to repeat myself as if I am talking to a robot.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">When calling I wait over 20 minutes for someone to answer.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">It's as if they don't really want you to get the holiday unless you agree to take their flight packages which costs rediculously higher than other travel agents or just by simply booking online.</p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">My advice to you Toucan Travel is to get your house in order and to change the way you do business and start being more transparent and giving less obvious bull to your customers, because you will lose them before you even gain them.</p> <p style="color: #555555;">I will make sure to spread the word with everyone I know in the travel and tourism industry.</p>
