Wrong Running shoes recommended and I am becoming a doctor's case
When I purchased my running shoes I had to go through treadmill assessment at Totalsports Clearwater and the shoe that was recommended was Asics 21 at the time, which I bought. I was so excited that I found the correct shoe and was assessed for it, but when I did my first 21km at Wanderers discovery run on 25 August 2019 I had this excruciating pain on my Achilles and my heel that lasted for days. I then consulted the Podiatrists to check what was wrong and was told the shoes could be the cause. I then reverted to my old running shoes, there was no problem. Tried again to use the ASICS 21 the pain came back. 5 October 2019 I went back to Totalsports Clearwater and the Treadmill assessment was done only for the result to show ASICS 21 was a wrong shoe for me and this time ASICS Kayano was recommended. I lodged the dispute on Totalsports system explaining what happened and that the shoes needed to be exchanged and was ready to pay the different of R300.00 to get the right shoe (Kayano) as recommended. Unfortunately , Clearwater didnt have a shoe but Fourways did, the assistant said she was going to have the Kayono brought to the store. After waiting for more than a week I went back to the store to collect and pay the balance. Surprisingly the shoe was still not collected and was told i was going to be contacted on Monday day the 14th October 2019 but was never contacted by the store. It's frustrating that I have to go through this pain spending lots of money for nothing. I don't want the shoe anymore I want my money (R2800.00) back, I will go to Sportsmen Warehouse for the shoe. I am tired of being sent from pillar to post and spending more on Doctor Consultations now.
