Staff that is not trained, cost me extra money.

To whom it may concern.

I phoned your Cavendish store on the 20th of September 2018 and spoke to Edwina asking if they had an old school vans black and white in stock in a boys size 2. She said yes and i asked her to keep it for me. On arrival at the Cavendish store. I asked for Edwina who was not available at the time for the shoe and your manager Ayesha brought the shoe out. Making my way to you POS area the people behind the desk was Branden and Ayesha i then told them that i have an E voucher and would like to use it to pay. My husband purchased it at Sportscene in Polokwane as he work away from home, and they told him that the voucher could be used at any TFG store. I was then told by Branden and Ayesha that i am not allowed to use the voucher in the store as it was bought at Sportscene i have to use it there. They said that they had training just that week and the system will not accept the voucher number. They didn't even try to enter it into their system. I was just turned away. After calling my husband to inform him about this and he spoke to Branden who told him that we can't use the voucher at the Cavendish Total Sport we have to use it at Sportscene. My husband then had to transfer me extra money to pay for the shoe as we were desperate as my son needed it for a show he was in.

My husband then went back to Sportscene to fight with them cause obviously he thought they gave him the wrong information he was upset that he spend unnecessary money. They then informed us that Cape Town was wrong not to accept the voucher and that they can't refund him. I then went to Blue Route Total Sport and to my surprise their system accept my voucher. Now my question to you is: 1. What is so special about Cavendish Totalsport that they couldn't accept my voucher. 2. Why was i turned away by a store manager. 3. After speaking to Tiffany on the 20th of October and that she apologised that the staff is not trained properly. Why i had to pay for the fact of that. 4. How are you going to compensate me for the fact that i couldn't spend my voucher in your store to pay and that i had to get extra money to pay for the shoes.

I called the call centre to complain in October already and send a mail to the regional manager and upbtill today no one has called me back. I am not someone to complain, but for me to pay another R700 cash after purchasing a voucher to pay was not right and that i have to pay for staff and a MANAGER that is not trained properly.
