Price difference on same item

<p>I was looking for running shoes for my son at Tatolsports Mall of the North 28 Feb at 18:30 and on the shelf my son saw Adidas that he wanted. There was only one colour displayed and the display pricing and the price on the inside of the shoe was R799. I asked the assistant to get me a different size, he returned with another colour of exactly the same shoe and model number Kanadia 8K which my son fit and was satisfied with. He was so excited that he also took a pair of socks and put both shoes on to wear immediately. When I got to the counter to pay, the exact same shoe was R999. I raised the fact that the price displayed was R799 but there was no manager on duty and the staff simply could not do anything about the price difference. I ended up paying the R999 as I could not get it over my heart to let my son take the shoes off again. Needless to say, I left as a unhappy customer and won’t support them again.</p>
