Poor Customer Service

My name is Portia Mathebula, on the 27th of May i purchased a Samsung J4 Core Black at Total sports Orange Farm, paid for it cash. I was assisted by a sales assistant with the name of Tumi , he gave me the phone and the box it comes in, showed me the battery percentage which was on 53%, told me to use the remaining bars before charging the phone. He then told me that the phone uses any kind of sim card. So I took the phone and box and went home. When I got home I took my existing sim card and inserted it into my new phone of R1 999.00 that I had just bought....to my surprise the phone didn't read the sim card, and I thought that maybe I inserted the sim card wrong , then I discovered that the sim card had jammed in the sim slot. Worried as I was I pulled out the manual that came with the phone and it was after reading it, I discovered that the phone only uses a nano sim card and I had inserted a micro sim card which was now stuck in the sim slot. Then the following day on the 28th of May 2019 I took back the phone to the store (Total Sport) and spoke to the same person who helped me the first time (Tumi) showed him the phone and told him the sim card is jammed in the sim slot. He then tells me that he will book the phone in for repairs which will take 3 months, a phone I never used, according to my knowledge if you take a phone back with in 7 days they are suppose to replace it because it is still under guarantee which was not the case. Then he tells me that it is my negligence for the sim jamming in the sim slot. I told him that it was him who said that I can put in any sim card, which I feel that he is the sales person with the proper training given on how to sell a cell phone to a customer and are suppose to know that he needs to open the box and make sure that the phone works and explain in detail what I as a customer should know when buying a new phone but instead of doing his job he just gave me the phone with no explanation on what to do. It was much easier to blame me and said that I was the one who was negligent for the sim jamming in the phone. If he did his job like he was suppose to and open the box and did all the necessary explanation to me all this could have been avoided. Then he told me to go to a Vodacom shop which is not far from their store (Total sports) and ask them how much they will charge me to fix the sim slot. I went to Vodacom and they said they would charge me R2 500.00 for a phone i paid R1 999.oo for and did not even use. So I went back to Total Sport and told him that I will not be paying any amount to get the phone fixed because I was not liable for the fact that he (TUMI) neglected to inform me about everything that comes with the phone. That the statement that he made saying "It takes any kind of sim card" is the reason the sim slot was jammed, therefor making him liable. Since then I called TFG Customer service and laid a complaint, was given an RM number and was told they will be investigating the matter. Three days after laying the complaint, Total Sport Area Manager contacted me and requested I take the phone back to the store and that she the Area Manager will do her best to resolve this matter. It is a month and 19 days already since I took back the phone to the store and still have not heard anything from Total Sports, I spent R 1 999.00 for a phone I don't have, which I desperately need. PLEASE HELP ME TO GET THIS RESOLVED !!!!!!!!!!
