Online Shopping return issues

I purchased a fitbit online, and after having the product for a few months it broke. I called customer service and was told that if they collect the item, they would not be able to replace/repair it, only issue a credit to my account. I op-tided to go to Canal Walk, as I was advised by customer service that they would be able to exchange it by doing s straight swap.

When I arrived at the store, the manager said they do not do exchanges after 7 days and that it would need to be sent away for repairs. I explained that I need to leave the country for work and I would send my sister to collect and even gave her my sisters contact details.

I then received a call today, saying that fitbit is going to credit me instead, and not replace/repair the item. I asked that they credit my account as I will not be here until next year, which the manager is aware of. I was advised that they cannot assist with this, which I don't understand because if you collected the item, I would not have needed to go into the store to have my account credit.

You have the fitbit as well as all of my account information, a copy of my invoice.

Please credit my account, instead of giving me the run from different people. This is not a good customer experience, and while I know you don't care I am strongly considering closing my account after this is issue is resolved.
