Online price not the same as in-store??? Ridiculous

How can an online item be a different price than an item in store? No stock when wanting to purchase running shoes that on special for R1959.95. But when I went to my local store, the price is R3299.95. When asked about the price difference, I get told online and in-store prices are not the same. That is a stupid reasoning as it is the same company with exactly the same product. In fact Totalsports dont even have to ship the product, I will get it myself at the store! Ridiculous.

It was the Mens Asics Gel Nimbus 23.
Totalsports Secunda Mall had stock but higher price.
