False Advertising?

This review is a little unfortunate because it really is just one occasion that left a bad taste out of numerous times I used the group but hey, that's what we do right. On the 9th of July, I noticed a sale on Khaki Salomons, marked down from R1999.00 to R1,198.95. There were however NO sizes available so I monitored the online site hoping to see new stock so I could order a pair. On the 23rd of July I went online and while there were still NO sizes available, the sale was over so the shoes were marked at R1,999.00 again. I complained to TFG and while I got a comprehensive response, it basically said it was my fault for seeing the promotion too late, fine what ever right? I mean I am just the customer and I have been monitoring a website for two weeks for what turns out to be absolutely NO reason as they never pulled the ad. As I have bought a pair of Salamons online before with TFG, my browser is now lit up with Salamon offers every time I open a new page and guess what, on the 24th of July I see the sale is still on. Of course though when I click on it, it takes me to the site showing that there is no sale and still no STOCK anyway, Very unprofessional and in my opinion, that would count as false advertising but again, I am just the customer so who am I to complain.

A quick update. The ad is still displaying the marked down price, the site displays the "correct" price and there is still no stock available.

A quick update. The ad is still displaying the marked down price, in fact, I see the add on this page right now. The site still displays the "correct" price and there is STILL no stock available!!!! There has also been no feedback from Total Sports or anyone from the group.

So no further communication from Total Sports or the Group to explain their lack of attention to the paying customers but FINALLY, over a month later, they have removed the Khaki Salamons from the Total Sports line up. I still see the adds on all of my browsers but clicking on it now gives me a "WE ARE SORRY WE COULDN’T FIND WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR. " message. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and with the new EPL season launched, I'll be buying my sporting goods somewhere else.
