Dirty, worn sandals

My fiancé bought me the Women's Hi-Tec Savanna II strap navy/turquoise sandal yesterday (13 October 2021). I needed the shoes for work as I had to attend a site visit and wearing safety shoes the whole day is not ideal. This morning as I was rushing to work I took out the shoes from the box and I was shocked with the condition of the left sandal, when they arrived I only fit the right sandal as that's my bigger foot and didn't check the left. The left was quite dirty and the straps were frazzled. I assume this was the shoe they have been using instore for fittings or someone returned it I don't know. I obviously cannot return the shoes now as I had to wear them to relieve my feet after my site visit but I am quite disappointed in the branch for allowing that to happen. And this is the second time they have sold him a substandard product I think mostly because he doesn't check those sort of things.
