TOTAL SA EMPLOYEES MISCONDUCT
On the 13th of June 2019, My father was assaulted at the Total petrol station located at pieersnavieer. He filled up the Emergency Medical Service vehicle since he works for the Department of Health. Moreover, he was coming from work and was still on the uniform. When the petrol attendant finished filling up the vehicle. The petrol card gave technical issues while swiping it on the speed point EFT machine. Since at that time he had no cash on him. He kindly requested them that he go to withdraw the cash in one of the nearest ATM or he could pass by the next day and pay since he was using the same route and even gave them his details. The petrol attendant refused and they were rude. They even blocked his way to the car. As a result, he felt humiliated and disrespected as a consumer because he was not intending to run away without paying them. It was just unfortunate that the card had technical issues at that time on their machines.
He decided to go rest in the car and he gained entrance from the passenger door, since they blocked the drivers door. He even bought coffee with little cash he had from the kiosk. While sitting sipping the coffee, three employees opened the door assaulted him by savagely pulling his left arm so badly that now he struggles to sleep because of pains from the injury. He cannot pick up little things. He now manages his daily life consuming pain ****ers. He cannot perform his daily duties as normal. Eventually, the card was able to swipe and already his arm is injured.
I am highly disappointed in the way my father was treated because there is also no assistance he received from management. My father decided to open a case against the guys who assaulted him.
Now he is spending a lot of money on medication and legal fees because of the misconduct of the Total SA employees.
I sent a complaint to Total SA and we have not received any response. This is painful and disappointing.
