Total Norkem Park ripping people off!

My father went to fill up his car's fuel at Total (Now TotalEnergies) Norkem Park. He paid R300 with his card and went off to run some errands and successfully purchased other items at a different business without issue. The issue is: after the tank was filled he was told the payment is not reflecting on their side, yet he received an SMS notification from the bank alerting him that a payment of R300 has been made to the petrol station. The people at Total Norkem Park refused to accept this notification - claiming that it isn't authentic. They then demanded (and continue to demand) a bank statement from him, proving the payment was successful. He had to pay R300 in cash and was told he would have it refunded if they later traced his first payment. They have not been in contact with him since and have NOT refunded the amount. One simply CANNOT buy R300 worth of fuel for R600. Where is the proof that the payment does not reflect? Are we being expected to take their word for it? And the big question here: THE CARD HAS NO ISSUES and yet it suddenly can't pay at TotalEnergies Norkem Park? Rediculous! There is some shenaniganry going on at that petrol station and if they were honest they would have contacted him again to update him!

If your card machine is not working that's YOUR problem. It's NOT an excuse to rip customers off.
