PETROL CONTAMINATION

<p>Good Day</p> <p>To Whom It May Concern:</p> <p>I have recently been involved in a Civil matter with the Total Garage in Wadeville Germiston where is poured 59 Litters of petrol in my car on the 15th Dec 2016 before 08:00 the morning.</p> <p>The same day at around 10:00 - 10:15 i was on my way to out when I could not get the car started, Manana who a mechanic not by profession assisted me trying to get the car stared.</p> <p>He removed the petrol filter from the car and pumped petrol straight from the tank into a 500ml bottle only to find that there was water and contaminated objects mixed with the petrol.</p> <p>I called the Co Owner Sheena Hapelt who profusely refused to except that there was water in the under ground tank and mentioned that they had recently checked the pumps, i suggested she sends one of the petrol attendants to come over as I work two street away from the garage.</p> <p>She also refused, I suggested I come over and she then said she was going on holiday and there is no time for this and handed the phone over to her husband.</p> <p>I spoke with Ernie and I proceeded to the garage with one of the workers as a witness to observe what is happening.</p> <p>Ernie did a test with the dip stick twice in the pump from where it pumps the petrol out and in the bottle he pour petrol in himself.</p> <p>Ernie confirmed that there was indeed water contamination and I had to fix the car and give them the quote to submit to Total, this all on the 15th December 2016.</p> <p>I told Ernie there was no way I was going to get this sorted today and not only that I was going to Cape Town on holiday with the family the very next day, 16 Feb 2016.</p> <p>I was then asked to get an invoice from a garage to fix my car, of which I did</p> <p>I drive a VW Sharan 1.8t, 7 Seater, 2000 model.</p> <p>I submitted the quote and gave to Mrs, Sheena Hapelt Co Owner at the Total Garage in Wadeville Germiston, she send it to ********** of which yet again it seemed like they were trying to get out of this issue.</p> <p>I was called by Paradime Rish COntrolling on ********** 159, saying they will send out an assesor to do an assesment of my vehicle, Mr Neels was the guy that was here at the office.</p> <p>I had to go and do a diagnostics test again for the second time, the first time was at VW in Lenasia O stay in Ennerdale.</p> <p>I took the car to Oetinger in Endenvale and they submitted the report and still today almost 3 month down the line still no answer.</p> <p>JHB2116/16 claim number as allocated.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am so frustrated right now, cause i am the one who has to keep my car running at all cost at my exspense for an inconvieniece cause bt TOTAL GARAGE, Wadeville Germiston.</p> <p>I have spoken to my lawyer and FNB on Call to atke further action as I am truly amaized at he anwaived reaction from TOTAL South Africa.</p> <p>Ismail Asvat</p>
