I haven't written a review before, but thought this it was important enough to warn others not to fall for the same thing.

On my way back from holiday, I passed through De Aar on 02 January 2022. My tank was still above half, but as the service stations in the Karoo are far and few between, I decided to fill up at the Total Karoo Diensstasie.

I went to buy a cooldrink in the shop while the attendant was filling up my car, got back, paid for my diesel and got back on the road.

It was only a few days later, when I went through my slips, that I noticed that I paid for 57.857 liters of diesel...my car only has a 60 liter tank.

I called Total's call center number, explaining that I have been either charged double or that half of the diesel I paid for was ****** and they told me that I had to take it up with the Owner/Manager of the service station in question, which I did. I was informed that unfortunately the service station is not fitted with camera's that can be used to verify what the attendant did when he filled up and as such, there is nothing they can do.

So...either the attendant OR the owner of the service station got a nice R500 bonus to start the new year on.

If I can give you my advice, NEVER use this service station as I highly doubt that I am their first victim and secondly, it would probably be better to NEVER fill up at any Total service station as they are not at all interested in protecting their customers from being ****** by the owners/manager/attendants that fall under their brand
