Gap cover is not worth getting. I canceled the policy.

I have been going back and forth and each time another person gives me different answers and feedback on my claims, they are unable to pay my shortfalls/claims, well today I decided to cancel the policy because I have been paying for nothing. I would not recommend the Gap cover to anyone just a waste of time and money.

Good day Chantel.  We are deeply sorry to learn about the challenges you've faced recently. Regrettably, it appears that at the time of your hospital admission, you were still within the 10-month condition-specific waiting period as specified in your policy document. It's important to note that consultations held in a doctor's room are not covered under your policy.

In light of your emergency admission, we strongly encourage you to reach out to your medical aid provider as soon as possible. Emergency admissions like yours often fall under the category of Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) as defined by the Council of Medical Schemes (CMS), and therefore should be covered in full by your medical aid.

Please know that we understand the stress and concern that such situations can bring, and we are here to support you in any way we can. If you require any further assistance or guidance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
