************** of patient with a Predisposition for genetic Cancer

Not Happy at all!! I think it is more than time to change their plans. The dicrimination of predispositioned patients who need Prophylactic surgeries or reconstruction due to being tested positive for Genetic types of cancer should be reviewed, as the procedures are still seen as Cosmetic, because there is no cancer found, but carry the faulthy gene which gives them a much higher risk for cancer. These people have the courage to make life saving decisions, before they got cancer.

But insurances don't have any empathy or logical thinking skills.

At the end financially,they ( the patients) make sure the medical aid and Gap covers don't end up with a much higher financial cost, which is the case if cancer is detected. So, actually they have to thank the patients who make those decision, instead of discriminating them.

For us as patients it is our Live that count, but we also deserve the best treatment, just the same as patients with cancer. we may not have cancer, but we also have to live and deal with the results and trauma's which come with Mastectomies or any other surgery. We did not choose this to look esthetically better. This is not a **** job !!! These procedures saves lives!!
