⭐ **TOTAL NINJA NORTHGATE – EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE** I am extremely disappointed and appalled by the service we received from **Total Ninja Northgate on Saturday, 29 August 2026**. We booked and paid for a birthday party from **15:45 to 18:00**. This was supposed to be a special day for my child and something we had planned and paid for in advance. Instead, from the moment we arrived, we were left dealing with one problem after another. When we arrived, **the party room that we had specifically booked was still occupied by another family**. Rather than Total Ninja immediately resolving the situation, we were pushed from pillar to post and left trying to find someone who could assist us. We repeatedly asked staff to speak to the family and ask them to leave. We were apparently told they were waiting for a trolley. At approximately **16:20**, the room finally became available — meaning that we had already lost around **35 minutes of our paid-for party time**. Even then, the previous family was still sitting at the second bench and refusing to leave. Once again, we had to find staff and ask for assistance. **Why was this our responsibility?** We had a confirmed booking. We paid for a specific time. The room should have been ready for us at 15:45. To make matters worse, **there was no hostess or party coordinator readily available to assist us**. We were left running around the venue trying to find someone who could actually help us. We paid for gloves which we did not receive, apparently there was no stock. We repeatedly asked to speak to **Noma**, but nobody could get hold of her or provide us with proper assistance. Instead of enjoying my child's birthday and welcoming our guests, I was left **stressed, embarrassed and running around like a headless chicken trying to get Total Ninja to manage a booking that I had already paid for.** This wasn't simply an inconvenience. **This was my child's birthday.** We invited our guests to a venue believing that everything would be organised and professionally managed. Instead, we were left embarrassed in front of our guests because of the venue's lack of organisation and communication. I am extremely disappointed and will be taking this complaint further if it is not dealt with appropriately. **Total Ninja Northgate — this was not the experience we paid for, and it was certainly not the way a child's birthday should have started.** ⭐ **My rating: 0/5** Do NOT book your childs birthday with Total Ninja

I (50 female) was given the opportunity to work at TOTAL NINJA in the Kolonnade Shopping mall as kitchen staff. I was told to come in at 7 AM and that I would be receiving R50/PER HOUR. What followed was a 9 HOUR shift with NO BREAKS. I was BURNED many times (with photos as proof), YELLED AT when I tried to sit and TREATED overall very DISRESPECTFULLY. Then I was told to come in the next day to "see if I got the job". The next day I was told that I was "too old to grasp what was required" AFTER A SINGLE DAY and told that I wouldn't be paid because I was "just being tried out". Obviously ******ION and ************** from THE REGIONAL MANAGER OF TOTAL NINJA. It's been 2 MONTHS since this happened and I have been in contract with the HEAD OFFICE of total ninja, but for the past week, after BEING TOLD I'D BE COMPENSATED, I was completely GHOSTED by the HEAD MANAGEMENT. I have been through enough coming from an abusive relationship that I was finally able to leave, this sent both myself and my daughter spiraling. We, as well as people around us, know that we deserve better. We deserve Compensation, not just for the hours I work, but for the injuries I sustained, for the travel costs for both days, for the countless calls I had to make to try to get somewhere, for the emotional and mental toll this has taken on my daughter and I. I can't imagine how many others might be been taken advantage of, but I won't be one.

Yesterday, we visited Total Ninja in Stoneridge, Edenvale, for the first time, to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The lady at the counter, whose name I regretfully forgot, provided us with exceptional service. She informed us about the Father's Day special, which we were unaware of, and patiently explained everything to ensure our understanding. While we were enjoying the entertainment, another staff member assisted us with certain activities we were unfami**** with. He was friendly and made us feel at ease. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and highly recommend Total Ninja to anyone. Overall, I rate our experience 10/10. #familytime #TotalNinja

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Total Ninja Fourways Mall I am extremely disappointed with the way our family was treated during our recent visit to Total Ninja Fourways Mall. My children arrived wearing Champion grip socks, which they had used at similar venues before. They were initially allowed to participate, only to be stopped approximately an hour later and informed that they could no longer continue unless they purchased Total Ninja branded socks. Instead of addressing the matter with the parents directly and respectfully, the children were pulled aside and prevented from participating while we were required to purchase additional socks. This created unnecessary stress and embarrassment for the children, who could not understand why they were suddenly being excluded after already being allowed onto the course. To make matters worse, the socks provided were the incorrect size and far too small, more suitable for an infant than a toddler. Despite raising concerns, there was little effort made to resolve the issue appropriately. As a result, the children spent an estimated 30 minutes waiting while the matter was being sorted out. No additional time was provided, no refund was offered, and no consideration was given to the fact that the children had effectively lost a significant portion of their paid play session through no fault of their own. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of empathy and customer service from the staff. There was no acknowledgement of the distress caused to the children, no apology, and no attempt to make the situation right. Had the policy regarding socks been communicated clearly from the outset, this entire experience could have been avoided. What should have been a fun family outing turned into a stressful, frustrating, and highly disappointing experience. Based on how this situation was handled, I would not recommend Total Ninja Fourways Mall and would not choose to return in the future.

I hosted my son’s birthday party at Total Ninja Northgate in October, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! I was out of the country at the time and handled everything online and via email, and it was all arranged perfectly. From the party room setup to the food and drinks, every detail was spot-on. The service was exceptional, and our party host aas well as the rest of the staff were amazing! They kept the kids entertained throughout and made the whole experience so much fun for everyone. I especially appreciated how they brought all the kids together for the cake and singing, it was such a special moment. I will definitely use Total Ninja Northgate again for future parties and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free, fun-filled celebration.
