Total Klippoortjie Customer Complaint - Paid for Fuel not Dispensed

Total Klippoortjie Customer Complaint - Paid for Fuel not Dispensed

To whom it may concern

My family and I have been loyal customers to your service station for many years now because of the wonderful customer service levels. Apart from filling fuel here my parents fill their gas here too on a monthly basis without fail.

However it is with great disappointment that I must bring to your attention an incident that occurred at your station on the 9 October 2022 at approximately 13:25pm. My father and I arrived at your service station to fill fuel and to fill gas so we first started off at the fuel pumps to fill fuel. We waited a few minutes before an attendant got to us and although I do not know his name I am very fami**** with his face as I am sure that he is with mine. I requested R200 diesel as well as 2.2 bars of pressure all around for my car tyres. After punching some numbers on the fuel pump keypad he took the fuel pump outlet pipe and placed it into my fuel tank compartment and told me that he would be right back. About 2-3 minutes later he returned and began filling pressure all around on my tyres as I had requested. At this point I was in the middle of a conversation with my father who was seated in the front passenger side of my vehicle. When he had finished, the attendant then approached my driver's side door to request payment. At this point I was still engaged in conversation with my father and I turned my head briefly around to look at the fuel pump to confirm the amount of fuel he dispensed and I noticed that the counter read a rand value of R200. Thinking all was in order as per my request I proceeded to pay the attendant and then drove forward to the parking space outside the Cafè for my father to fill gas. Once the gas was filled we left the service station but on our way I noticed that the needle on the fuel gauge had not moved to indicate that I have filled fuel. Seeing as my fuel gauge was very low before filling fuel I assumed that it would take some time to move higher as it normally does in such a case. In light of this I did not think much of it and continued driving on. I reside in Lenasia and I was visiting my parents in Villa Lisa for the weekend. I had already driven approximately 25km's when I noticed that the fuel needle did not shift higher at all...in fact it shifted to its lowest point which forced me to stop on the way and full fuel again. This time I filled fuel at another service station for R300 and immediately after the fuel was dispensed I started my car up and I noticed that the needle on the fuel gauge shifted to a higher level which, from driving experience, I could tell that fuel was filled for R300. I was too far off from Klippoortjie to drive back to you so I continued to drive home to Lenasia hoping that on the way the needle will shift even higher to indicate the R200 fuel which I had supposedly filled at ur station. I reached home later that evening but there was still no positive change on my fuel needle to indicate the R200 fuel from your service station. I went out for the day today but yet again there was no positive change on my fuel gauge and I was forced to fill fuel once again. I filled fuel for another R200 today at a service station in Lenasia and immediately the needle on my fuel gauge shifted to a higher level showing the amount of fuel I filled.

In light of the events above, it is clearly evident that there is no fault with my fuel gauge but rather that I have been ******** out of R200 from the attendant at your filling station. Whilst I understand that the driver has to ensure the correct dispensing of fuel...in all honesty and fairness...so too does the attendant. Surely if fuel was not dispensed at one of your pumps but payment of such was taken from the driver then the attendant as well as the cashier would be made aware of this when proceeding to accept payment. As I mentioned we still waited a while outside the Café whilst filling gas yet we were not approached by the attendant or any other staff member with regards to any query pertaining to this issue. I feel ****** and cheated out of my hard earned money and I feel that your attendant wilfully acted out of dishonesty on the day in question.

I drive a Silver Grey BMW 320d with registration number NSM 847 GP. I would like for you to investigate this matter with due diligence and to refund me in full.

Regards,

Ashveer Sookraj
