Bank card payment error

I recently had an unpleasant encounter at Total energies in Mtubatuba town by bonjour. I would say it is better if one uses hard cash to pay for petrol even though that's quite not easy as we normally don't carry cash around. I paid with my bank card and it so happened that the petrol attendance thought his swapping machine was faulty, he went for another one and ask me to swap my card the second time. Since I was not aware if the first transaction went through or not, I swapped again only to discover that the transaction got duplicated. I have been doing the run around to the petrol station since then, they keep sending me from pillar to post which I would say it is so unprofessional. They don't bother to update me regarding the progress as they now owe me and I need my money back. I have accumulated more expenses to go there for a refund, they keep apologizing but no refund. They keep making one excuse after another which at times I can see it the delaying tactics game. I am so disappointed at their customer service.
