Disappointing Service and Unprofessional Attitude

I recently had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at the Richards bay optometrist’s office. I went in hoping to get a quick fix or at least some advice regarding my broken spectacles. Instead, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of professionalism from the technician on duty.

Rather than showing any willingness to help, the technician seemed more interested in taking his lunch break than assisting a customer in need. When I asked if there was anything that could be done to at least temporarily repair the glasses, he brushed me off with a dismissive attitude and said there was nothing he could do — not even a suggestion or referral. No attempt was made to understand the issue or offer alternatives.

I understand that lunch breaks are important, but so is customer service. It’s not too much to expect a technician to at least acknowledge the urgency of the situation — especially when it comes to vision-related matters. The complete lack of empathy and refusal to even try to assist me was unacceptable.

This experience has left a very poor impression, and I will not be returning. If you’re looking for an optometrist who actually values their patients' time and needs, I suggest you look elsewhere. There are plenty of professionals out there who know how to balance their schedules without neglecting their responsibility to provide decent service.Disappointing Service and Unprofessional Attitude
