Potentially Unnecessary Service

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with TorFX. I asked if they could assist with transferring money from my South African account to my New Zealand account. They said this would not be a problem. I was initially asked to transfer the funds to a Barclays holding account in the UK. I completed this which already cost me transfer fees from my South African account. Then after a few days of asking them about progress, they informed me that they could not take the risk with the transfer. No explanation as to the details of the risk. So, my money was returned and I lost out on transfer fees. I then transferred my funds directly by myself and the transfer charges were the same as to the Barclays account. So TorFX would not save me any money. The sales staff were very friendly, but that was the only good thing. Overall, I would not recommend TorFX.
