Starsat - Bad information - I Spent money
I saw on the Starsat website that I could get a free satellite installation if I had a decoder already. I thought it was too good to be true so I phoned the call centre and asked a consultant. I asked her - If I buy a 2nd hand decoder will you install the satellite for free still? She said YES. I asked her twice just to make sure. So, I bought a 2ndhnd decoder (this meant driving far - petrol money). I spent time and money doing this. Time - something we don't have much of these days. I then phoned a consultant to do a changeover of ownership of the decoder, then sent an email with the particulars. I thought everything was fine. A few days later, Starsat call me and ask when are we going to install the satellite. It's going to cost me.I told them it was free because they'd told me so. They said that's not the case. I then spoke to a manager, who tried to track the phonecall I had with the consultant. He had no luck. The manager is Wenzo. He then offered me a discount and I refused as I'd spent time and money on the information initially supp****.He said that its pointless to go to Hello Peter because the case would just land up with him and it would not change anything
