Dear Startimes Media /StarSat I am Solomzi Humprey Dlungwana a recent temp worker who worked at your Head Office Branch in Midrand.During the past few months this company has given me & my whole family the worst most miserable experiênce anybody can possibly imagine.Working at this company is the definition of oppression, depression & slavery. The working conditions in warehousing is **** poor: Absolutely no safety gear,no safety rep, no sort of actual suitable warehouse tools provided during working hours. Most of your labour is done mánually by hand that includes packaging of heavy sets of digital satélite dish bundles in bulks of 300 -1000 daily. At times of shipments of containers / truck delivers you cheap skates don't even hire forklifts, you expect casual staff to manually offload like ants. Pallets of heavy sets of steel bundles that actually on many occasions injure the casual staff. In rain, terríble heat ,cold winters you expect us to work in A ba*****t with no heaters or even provide jackets.yet you sit in your office warm Liu Kun, you are the worst Supply Chain Director in the history of Sub Sahara. You use people & don't care about your staff, you are the epitome of a ass wipe. 3 April 2019 truck enroute to JHB take alot delivering stock, we were hijacked by armed persons who left us utterly traumatised ,we called Benita as she told us to report at police station. I remember no one came to check on us, as we are just pawns in your capitalistic brains. The next following days no grieviances, no sort of therapy was offered. You as a company just treated it as just another day, no use of crying over spilt milk. We asked for an internal investigation yet it feel to dead ears, your last comment was insurance will pay. 9May 2019 because insurance wouldnt pay, StarSat decided to get the same victims of armed ******* permanent staff arrested while on duty at work.The next day i was arrested infront of my family at home, while i was not in a sober minded state because i was depressed of the bad dreams i was having.Upon arriving at the police station ,your police detective narrated a statement prepared by managers that i should implicate the Two permanent staff members & i will be offered a permanent position. Seeing i was drunk & was being threatened i let the detective draft this statement on my behalf & spent 4days in cells. The other staff members didnt entertain the threats while being imprisoned but said they will await court day, i remember not even one Chinese or managerial person in position came to court. State found us innocent. 14 May 2019 i get back to work, with accompany of permanents. I remember the lady in HR(including Chris) attempted to bribe me by saying the offer is still on the table. I should implicate the Two colleagues i work with. As soon as i declined you ,you now start following procedure by suspension & yet again ******* me into signing papers that say i acknowledge the additional Two charges & next week we should come for hearing. on hearing day we were instructed not to bring any lawyers, trade union rep or witness. 21 May 2019 the day of hearing ,you hired a caucasian old afrikaans speaking male to come cross question us claiming he is from Dept of Labour.i was advised not to attend your hearing as you never wanted me to have a representative, só HR yet again attempted to bribe me again by moving me out of boadroom into their office & offering me R50 000 to yet again put blame on innocent hardworking staff that worked there for years with no complains. As soon as i disagreed i walked out of the premises & never looked back. Whether its HR at Starsat or the chinese management : This is not how you treat employees, people need jobs but if this is how you treat people then I'd rather sit home & look for other opportunities. I wish BRICS, the government or any law personell comes & shuts you down. You bring are bringing slavery back to South África ,no staff members at Starsat are happy. Its because they fear losing their jobs as bullying is the special of the day daily in Starsat Midrand Head Office, i will not become your puppet in your capitalism. You are already firing & underpaying our South Africans ,só during my unemployed status their is nothing i can do but Hope the nation knows the truth about your sadistic & capitalistic ways.
