Topmed at it Again! ...
<p>My son went for an eye op. got the auth ..</p> <p>aenesthetics.. cost R4565 topmed pays R1980.. thats not even 50%</p> <p>clinic .. cost R 21,256.44 topmed pays R 19,215.49.. another R2000</p> <p>then theres doctor costs.. etc etc.. ends up even though i have medical aid.. i still have to pay in +- R8000 from my own pocket??????? all done in hospital?... dont ever sign up for this medical aid!! NOT WORTH IT.. </p> <p>My company finally allowed us to move to alternative medical aids come 2017.. Thats how bad this medical aid is.. not 1 happy client.. </p> <p> </p>

I have tried making contact with you on the number provided with this query, however it went to voicemail. I have left a message for you.
With regards to your query, the shortfall on the hospital account is due to the clinic charging the incorrect fee, we have an agreed fee with them and therefore you cannot be held liable for the difference.
The anaesthetist account was paid as per your option rate, which is 100% of TopMed tariff, the doctor charged more than a 100% therefore there is a shortfall on the account.
