Sharp practice used to deny crown authorisation

These ***boys would like their clients to believe that a crown on top of an implant is not specialised dentistry but maxillofacial surgery.<br> <br> If I choose to pay for an implant at my own cost, and then have a crown placed on top, then it is to all intents and purposes exactly the same as a crown placed on top of a normal tooth. There is a very minor difference in the form of a link at a small additional cost which I would be happy to bear myself so that the overall cost is exactly the same as for a standard crown.<br> <br> According to my husband's medical aid option, we are entitled to one crown every three years. This is a paltry benefit in itself considering the premium we pay. But Topmed don't even want to pay for this small benefit, preferring to hide behind bogus technicalities.<br> <br> Topmed, if you don't want to pay for specialised dentistry on your professional option, then just say so and stop talking nonsense to my dentist and myself. Nobody is fooled by your ducking and diving out of your contractual obligation. <br> <br>
