Medical Aid Won't Pay - Government Hospital

I am waiting for authorization to be hospitalized since 19th May 2015. I had to go to Steve Biko to get help because my medical aid do not realize that I CANNOT read the future and know that I would be going to hospital in the next 12 months. I started puking blood and that just did not matter to Top Med. I am utterly disgusted. Every time I go to the doctor the payment gets taken off my savings. The medical aid does not even pay for the normal medication or GP. Steve Biko stays the best and no medical aid can beat them.

Hello LaulaniH,

You are currently on the Active Saver option. On this option all day-to-day treatment is payable from your savings, hence the payment for medication and consultations will be payable from your savings.

Your Wellness nurse will be in contact with you in respect of your authorisation.
